WHAT IS PILATES?

Pilates is a physical fitness and strength training method of exercise, with emphasis on precision, control and technique. It’s demanding, but low impact and always tailored to different levels of ability so it’s suitable for everyone whatever their age, fitness levels or individual goals.

Sequences of exercises are taught to build strength from within, using our deep postural muscles and bringing your body back in to its correct alignment in order to safely challenge our co-ordination and stamina.

For those who already participate in sports such as running, cycling or swimming, Pilates is an excellent complementary activity to maintain a strong, injury free body.

  • Develop your core strength and generate more sculpted, leaner muscles.
  • Give your flexibility a boost and increase your joint mobility.
  • Correctly align your body, improve your posture and help your back become pain free.
  • Create a valuable sense of well being by focusing your mind on breathing patterns.

“In 10 sessions you’ll feel the difference, in 20 you’ll see the difference and in 30 you’ll have a new body”.

Joseph Pilates, inspirational creator of the Pilates method.
